Once Iagain, I am sewing up Blaverry! This time, Upton got a face lift. I am part of the Upton blog tour showcasing this beautiful little dress and all of it’s updates. Christie over at Blaverry has been updating all of her older patterns with the conveniences of her newer patterns. It now includes:
• clickable table of contents
• now 3 new sleeve lengths to choose from
• more size and garment finished measurements
• new pattern nesting for easier size blending
• instructions on how to properly select your size(s)
• instructions on how to blend sizes
• printable page to record measurements and notes
• printable design/coloring page for you and/or your kids
• re-designed pattern pieces for easier size blending
I cannot tell you how much I love this simple dress!! It’s so simple, but so fun with the contrasting yoke and the inset back panel. The ways that you could combine fabric make it even better!
I found these fabrics at Joanns and they just screamed to be made into a fall Upton! The southwest fabric is super soft and squishy and will certainly be nice and warm as we transition into cooler weather. The solid is just as warm, and I love the way it compliments the print so perfectly!
Remember these boots from my post on Maddox? They are Cat & Jack from Target, and again went so well with this outfit. I also attempted to coordinate with a head piece that I made with maroon, gold, and burlap. Perfect for fall, right?! But I failed and it wouldn’t stay in. I will be fixing it and I can’t wait for Little Miss to wear this outfit for some more fall pictures.
The leaves are starting to turn, but they aren’t yet at that perfect stage of burnt orange and golden yellow they get right before they all fall away. The night was, however, perfect for a nice walk around the town reservoir and a little exploring
You can check out the other versions of Upton as they are shared this week!
